The award-winning bartender’s new book, Let’s Get Tropical, boasts over 60 drink recipes for everything from Caribbean classics to modern tiki drinks. Many of the recipes feature a “lose the booze” option as well, making them a refreshing (and hangover-free) option for everyone.

The Classic Daiquiri
1 2/3 fl oz (50 ml) white rum
½ fl oz (15 ml) sugar syrup
2/3 fl oz (20 ml) lime juice
Add white rum, sugar syrup and lime juice to a shaker. Fill the shaker with ice and shake hard. Fine strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.
South Seas Daiquiri
2/3 fl oz (20 ml) lime juice
1/3 fl oz (10 ml) passion fruit syrup
1/3 fl oz (10 ml) falernum
1 2/3 fl oz (50 ml) white rum
1 pineapple ring
Muddle the pineapple in the bottom of a shaker. Add the rum, falernum, passion fruit syrup and lime juice. Shake hard with ice and fine strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lime twist and a dash of Angostura bitters.
