This summer, Comedy Central and Superfly are teaming up to launch the Colossal Clusterfest, a massive comedy/music/comedy festival that will celebrate veteran and amateur comedians alike. Approached as a multi-format, Bonnaroo-type festival, there will be tons of really cool people performing, including Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Burr and Kevin Hart as headliners. There will also be stand-up from Tig Notaro, Hannibal Buress, Bob Odenkirk, Fred Armisen and many more.
Kent Alterman, President of Comedy Central, said in a statement:
Colossal Clusterfest will be a massive, shared, fan-focused comedy experience—the biggest ever produced—and we are thrilled to join forces with Superfly to launch this unprecedented comedy festival in the great city of San Francisco. Clusterfest will celebrate comedy in all its various forms. From headliners to comics-to-watch to podcasters to sketch to improv, fans of comedy are in store for an immersive experience that not only connects them to their favorite comedy stars, but also provides fantastic opportunities for discovery.
Not only will there be music featured from artists like Ice Cube, Princess (the Prince tribute band featuring Maya Rudolph and Gretchen Lieberum), Vince Staples and Tegan and Sara, but there will also be interactive attractions featuring iconic sets from three great shows: It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, South Park and Seinfeld. Each set will be outfitted with props, food and games, which just sounds delightful.
Colossal Clusterfest comes to San Francisco on June 2-4. You can get tickets starting Thursday, March 2, at 1 p.m. EST at the fest’s website, find the full inaugural lineup here and below, take a look at the festival’s poster and a promotional video. It’s a lot of fun and really glittery.
