It’s challenging to find good, silly comedy shows for those of us out here adulting. But there are exceptions to every rule, and Portlandia is one of those rare gems that mixes grown-up drama with kid-like ridiculousness. Perhaps it’s how the show brilliantly pokes fun at their dead-serious characters—like the biker’s rights guy, the bookstore owners, and the people who plan their own funerals. Whatever it is, the series’ characters and now-iconic sayings have managed to seep into everyday dialogue (for some of us, anyway), making them the perfect ingredients for the additional humor inspired by memes and gifs. Season Six of Portlandia just kicked off, and we’re celebrating in the best way we know how. #PutABirdOnIt
