Designer Pairs Pantone Swatches with Tiny Found Objects

Did you know that Goldfish—the snack that smiles back—is exactly Pantone 2011C? While a standard No. 2 pencil takes the shade of Pantone 143C? Graphic designer Inka Mathew is answering those questions for you with her series “Tiny PMS Match.” She pairs everyday found objects, like tea leaves or medication, with pantone swatches of the same color. There’s something very satisfying about looking at the perfect matches, and it’s super cute at that. Mathew started the project a year ago and has since made around 145 pairs. You can get her book out next spring or check her out on Tumblr today.
