In a new series by Stephen McMennamy, titled #ComboPhotos, the photographer makes the ordinary whimsical by placing two photos with color similarities next to each other. At first glance, it looks like a complicated Photoshop job, but the image is really made from two photos simply—and carefully—placed next to each other. The series is really about reawakening imagination and seeing the world like a kid again. After all, didn’t you once wish that the toothpaste on your toothbrush was cupcake frosting? And isn’t it every child’s (and adult’s) dream to have a hose that dispenses an endless stream of candy? Check out McMennamy’s Instagram and Tumblr for more of his work, and see his #ComboPhotos collection above, first reported by My Modern Met.
