Who wants a boring old cup of coffee? One of the perks of heading to your local speciality shop for your morning latte rather than making a cup of joe at home is the art.
Beyond the art of actually crafting the drink (which is a skill in and of itself), many baristas are trained on how to transform your average cup of caffeine into a work of art in a glass.
While you’ve probably seen more than a few latte flowers in your day (which are certainly beautiful), we scoured Instagram to find some latte art that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible, and creates something extraordinary.

Who says man's best friend can't also be man's best drink? This amazing art by @slick_bartender certainly puts the theory to he test.

This awesome art by @barista_nikita_tarshin isn't quite as intricate as the other dog piece, but is still super cute and unlike the other, looks like something we might potentially be able to do in our own kitchen.

Speaking of pet art, why limit yourself to just dogs? @krautsmoothie has kicked these two lattes up a notch with both cat and dog images.

Why restrict yourself to just dimensional latte art? This 3D cat created by one Starbucks employee is too awesome to pass up.

Latte art doesn't have to be just foam. This cocoa cat looks delicious.

When it comes to latte art, you run into a lot of flowers. You don't; however, see too many trees.
