The best way to kick off the New Year is with a cocktail in your hand, but what cocktail? When it comes to holiday celebrations you’ve got a ton of options to choose from. While a lot of poeple opt to go for a straight glass of Champagne to toast in the New Year, there’s something to be said for spicing things up with something a little different as well.
Here are a few New Year’s cocktails worth putting in your glass come 11:59pm on the 31st.
Tyson Buhler, D&C, 2017
1.5 oz. Fausse Piste Syrah
1.5 oz. Ramazotti Amaro
0.50 oz. Laird’s Bonded Apple Brandy
0.25 oz. Yellow Chartreuse
0.50 oz. Cinnamon Syrup?1 orange crescent
?Directions: Whip with a few pellets of ice, serve in a Double Old Fashioned glass garnished with a cinnamon stick and blackberry.
Rowdy Roosevelt Rose Fizz

2 parts Hendrick’s Gin
1 dash Rose Water
1 part Half & Half
½ part Simple Syrup
½ part Rose Syrup
1 Egg White
½ part Lime Juice
½ part Lemon Juice
Directions: Double shake, strain. No ice. Top with orange bitters and dried rose petals.
1.5 oz. Coopers’ Craft Bourbon
.5 oz. Simple Syrup
6 Fresh Cranberries
2-3 oz. Orange Flavored Sparkling Water
2 dash Orange Bitters
1 Orange Twist skewered with fresh cranberry
Directions: In a cocktail shaker, crush the cranberries to break the skins with the back of a spoon or a muddler. Add Coopers Craft Bourbon, simple syrup, and ice, then shake for 15 seconds to combine and chill. Strain into a coupe or flute and top with orange flavored sparkling water, 2 dashes of orange bitters, and garnish with orange cranberry twist.
For the mocktail version replace the bourbon with lemonade.

?1 oz. Martini & Rossi Rosso
1 oz. Martini & Rossi Riserva Speciale Bitter
Martini & Rossi Prosecco
Directions: Build first two ingredients on 3 ice cubes. Top with Martini & Rossi Prosecco in a stemmed goblet. Garnish with an orange wedge on skewer + edible gold.
Grey Goose Le Fizz
1 ½ parts Grey Goose Vodka
1 part St Germain Elderflower liqueur
¼ part of a lime
2 parts chilled soda water
Directions: Add Grey Goose vodka, St. Germain and lime juice into a cocktail shaker. Then top with cubed ice and shake vigorously. Fine strain into a chilled flute and charge with soda water. Garnish with a Grey Goose stirrer.
