Here’s our last look at The Ringed City, the final piece of Dark Souls III DLC, before it launches this upcoming Tuesday, March 28.

Keep in mind that this is the last we’re likely to see of Dark Souls for a while, according to From Software president Hidetaka Miyazaki. He said as much to Polygon at last year’s Tokyo Game Show when the studio was promoting the game’s first DLC, Ashes of Ariandel:

It’s time to move away from the Dark Souls franchise. As president of From Software, I’m not completely denying the possibility of bringing back the franchise in the future. There could be someone else in my company who wants to work on new installments. But we believe that the series will end after the two DLC.

While it looks like we’ll be taking a long break from getting new Souls games, perhaps we still can hope for an HD remaster of Demon’s Souls. Miyazaki also said fans should expect more Souls-like games from the developer. Perhaps at least a Bloodborne 2? Please?

Miyazaki also said:

I’m not saying I won’t work on a Dark Souls-like game or a dark fantasy game. We’d like to carry over some of the good things from the franchise to new products. As new technology is introduced, we would like to take what we learned from Dark Souls and use it in future IP.

The $14.99 expansion will drop on March 28 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Bandai Namco says this expansion will have players “chasing after the Slave Knight Gael to the literal end of the world as he searches for the Dark Soul of Humanity.” You can read a little more about the expansion here, in our write-up of the first trailer for the new content. Dark Souls III’s season pass, which includes both Ashes of Ariandel and The Ringed City, is also available digitally for $24.99.
