Dark Souls: Remastered
is slated for release on May 25 across almost every platform, but those wanting to dive back into the death machine on the Nintendo Switch will have to wait a bit longer. Publisher Bandai Namco announced on Tuesday that the Switch release of the game has been delayed, with no new release date announced outside of “this summer.”
It’s a bummer to the owners of the wildly successful console, but that sorrow was compounded as the company also announced that the Solaire of Astora Amiibo, which generated arguably more excitement than the game’s announcement itself, has also been delayed. The figurine’s release will coincide “with the same timeframe” as the game’s delay, so both are still coming soon—just not soon enough.
Despite the bad news, Bandai Namco is promising that “this time will ultimately be used to improve your journey to Lordran.”
