How large are the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros? The team at WesterosCraft, a Minecraft server dedicated to recreating the world of Game of Thrones, celebrated their three year anniversary last December. The project has been ongoing since then with 125 different builders working incessantly to get the project completed.

This week the official Westeros channel on YouTube released a video showing the progress they have made to the land of ice and fire. So how much has the group managed to complete since the project launched? The video teases looks at Castle Black, Dragonstone, The Wall, Gulltown, Lannisport and Pebbleton. With the help of a lot of mods, the project is slowly nearing completion. Still, with all the manpower and organization that goes into creating an entire mythical continent, the people of WesterosCraft have some work left.

Jacob Gransberry, the voice behind the project, had the following to say about the road ahead for WesterosCraft:

“I would say the world is at around 70% completion. Since we last spoke, we’ve developed a custom launcher for the game that comes packed with our WesterosBlocks mod which includes over 50 new custom blocks and textures specifically made for our server. So, we completely repainted our map with new textures, and some of our old builds we are building over bigger, better, and more realistic. That King’s Landing render from a few years ago? Yea, we are remaking that entire city again.”
