Bioware Reveals New Mass Effect: Andromeda Details

New details emerged this weekend regarding EA’s forthcoming and much-hyped Mass Effect: Andromeda, including info about HDR support, PC pre-loading and the possibility of a DLC season pass.

On Saturday, BioWare GM Aaryn Flynn confirmed to fans on Twitter that the game will support High Dynamic Range (HDR) on Xbox One S, PS4 Pro, PS4 and PC. He also confirmed that Andromeda will not have a season pass for DLC, as has been the case with all previous Mass Effect titles, and that BioWare will “talk more about that later.” In the same string of tweets, Flynn informed a fan that the game won’t be available in Arabic at launch, and two days earlier he said the minimum PC requirements will likely be announced sometime in February.

The option to pre-load the game on PC will become available via Origin on March 17 at 1 p.m. EST, according to a report at TheOuterHaven. No announcement has been made, official or otherwise, regarding pre-loading details for console versions of the game.

BioWare and EA revealed Mass Effect: Andromeda’s release date during CES last week, where they also unveiled a new gameplay trailer. The game is out on March 21 in North America and March 23 internationally.
