South Park: The Fractured But Whole Hit With Another Delay

Ubisoft announced today via an earnings report that South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been delayed again.

Originally set to release in December of 2016, the title was initially delayed last September to Q1 of 2017 in order to “make sure the game experience meets the high expectations of fans.” The game’s new release window is now as wide as Ubisoft’s entire next fiscal year, meaning the game could be released as late as Q1 2018. The company has yet to provide a reason for the second delay.

Today’s report also acknowledged Watch Dogs 2’s lackluster sales (though apparently the open-world title is working well toward recouping any losses) and that the recent extreme sports title, Steep, sold “slightly higher than expected.” CEO Yves Guillemot made sure to plug Ubisoft’s forthcoming Nintendo Switch games, saying they will be “very strong for the machine.” You can read about those titles here.
