As we approach both Christmas and the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens on December 18 (also known to some as “Christmas”), it’s a good time to look at the insane number of toys tying in to the new film. From remote-controlled robots and drones to Legos to lunchboxes, we’ve narrowed down the list of cool toys featuring new and classic characters. And we took one of them out for a spin on the streets of Manhattan in the video below.

10. Remote-Control Classic U-Command AT-AT - $99.99
This 10.5-inch AT-AT walks forward, backward, left and right and turns its head. With lights, sounds and a firing action, it can attack all your other Star Wars: The Force Awakens toys.

9. Kylo Ren Voice-Changing Helmet - $79.99
You're pretty much set for next Halloween with this full-size, adjustable helmet from Hasbro. An electronic modulator changes your voice to match the villain from The Force Awakens.

8. Kylo Ren Large Tin Lunch Box
When it comes to Star Wars nostalgia, it's hard to beat the old-school tin lunch box. But you don't have to have been alive in 1976 to appreciate the cool factor. My 11-year-old son was happy to take it off my hands.

7. Kylo Ren Ultimate FX Lightsaber
If you're going to get a lightsaber, why mess around? This top-of-the-line version from Hasbo lights up at the push of a button and has all the sound and light effects you could want for your Jedi battles.

6. Pop! Chewbacca Bobble-Head - $12.50
If you're going to get a Star Wars: The Force Awakens action figure, it's hard to top these 16 bobble-heads from Pop!. Finn and Rey look great, but Chewy is hard to beat.

5. Legendary Yoda Interactive Robotics Toy
Okay, so we don't know whether Yoda appears from beyond the grave in The Force Awakens, but we had to include this walking, talking Jedi Master robot that responds to your attempts at using the Force, whether he's in Warrior Mode, Force Mode or Wisdom Mode. Pretty cool this toy is.

4. Lego Star Wars Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle - $119.99
Lego offers us a glimpse of what the new Darth Vader wannabe will be flying with this 1,005-piece set, which includes six minifigures: Kylo Ren, General Hux, a First Order officer, two First Order crew and a First Order Stormtrooper.

3. R2-D2 Interactive Robotic Droid - $159.99
Thinkaway has created a 16-inch remote-control version of everyone's favorite Droid. He has 1,000 different action combinations, but really it's all about having him respond to your voice with his blips and bleeps. Well, that and seeing him project Princess Leia on the wall.

2. Air Hogs Remote-Control Millennium Falcon - $88.84
Up above the floor of the NY Comic Con, the Millennium Falcon remote-control drone from Air Hogs was turning heads. Its four rotors are tucked into the body of the high-density foam ship. The remote works up to 200 feet away, but we can't verify that the top speeds would actually make the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs.

1. Sphero BB-8 - $149.99
We got to play with BB-8 on the streets of New York thanks to Sphero creator Adam Wilson. Controlled via App on your mobile phone or tablet, the adorable little droid rolls around your home (or crosswalk) just like in the movie. A cool virtual reality function creates a hologram effect for personal messages, as well. Take a look in the video below.
