New on Amazon Prime Video: All the Movies and TV Coming in June

While Amazon’s Prime offerings for June may not be able to hang with their exceptional May slate, there’s still a few releases worth devoting your precious summer moments to. Let’s dig into a few of the highlights.

On the television front, there’s not a whole lot of new stuff for Prime users that aren’t also subscribed to Showtime and Starz, but one standout is definitely the second season of All or Nothing. The first season of the groundbreaking show—presented by the NFL network—followed the Arizona Cardinals’ football team throughout their tumultuous 2015 season. The filmmakers gained unprecedented access to the training facility, the team’s sideline and even into several of the players and coaches homes. Even if you could care less about football, the show is loaded with unexpected poignancy as these young men deal with victory, loss and learning how to handle complicated, high-stakes relationships in an intense environment. And the thing is, the Cardinals were actually good. This season the show will follow the dysfunctional 2016 Los Angeles Rams as they made the switch from St. Louis to Los Angeles, drafted a new quarterback only to hold him out for half the season and even the firing of their head coach before the season ended. Drama is likely to abound, and we can’t wait. Also coming to TV of note is the sixth season of Suits and the debut season of American Gods for those that also subscribe to Starz.

For movies, there also aren’t a ton of highlights beyond the classic Apocalypse Now—and its director’s cut Apocalypse Redux20th Century Women and the first two, Clooney-led, Ocean’s movies. One movie that may sneak under the radar is Amazon’s own Paterson movie. It is one of the slowest, most low-stakes films ever released to theaters. But—similarly to Amazon’s fantastic Manchester by the Sea—it is a wonderful film worth digging into.

Be sure to check out the sizzle reel above and the rest of Amazon Prime’s June offerings below.
