Bond 25 Filming Suspended Following Daniel Craig's On-Set Injury

The troubled production of Bond 25 has tripped up again, and this time, it’s literal: While sprinting for a scene in Jamaica, Daniel Craig fell and injured his ankle. Per The Sun, Craig has since been flown to the United States for further medical examinations—we can only imagine he’s feeling both shaken and stirred by the event. The film’s shooting has been temporarily suspended.

Craig’s injury is the latest story in a troubled development process for the still-unnamed Bond 25; Danny Boyle, the original director attached to the film, notably left the production amid creative differences, prompting extensive script rewrites from Killing Eve helmer Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Cary Fukunaga is directing the film, which we hope will only include one instance of Rami Malek’s villain delivering a vaguely upsetting monologue to the camera.

No word is out on how (or if) Craig’s injury will affect the film’s release, which is still slated for April 8, 2020.
