Patriotism or protest? While its title track actually falls under the latter category (see #1), Bruce Springsteen’s Born In The U.S.A. is an American classic. Today marks 35 years since the album’s release on June 4, 1984, and it remains a pillar of heartland rock perfection.

Why not celebrate this beacon of American rock ‘n’ roll with a classic Springsteen concert? The Boss and the E Street Band performed the biggest Born In The U.S.A. hits, including the title track, “Cover Me,” “I’m On Fire” and “Dancing In The Dark,” in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as part of the 1988 Amnesty International Human Rights Now! Tour. At the top of this historic set, Sting, Peter Gabriel, and Tracy Chapman, who were all also on that tour, join Springsteen and the band for a cover of Bob Marley’s “Get Up, Stand Up.”

Springsteen will release his 19th studio album on June 14, and we’re a little bit excited about it. Can June just be “National Bruce Springsteen Month” already?
