Acclaimed indie rocker Courtney Barnett joined Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy and his bandmates onstage for a special performance during their Solid Sound Festival on Friday.
Wilco’s Solid Sound began on Friday, June 28, at MassMoCA in North Adams, Mass., and concluded Sunday, June 30.
During the festival’s first night, Wilco held “Wilco Karaoke,” where fans and friends of the band who had been previously chosen could come onstage to perform their classic tracks with them.
Barnett, who also performed her own headlining set at the festival, came onstage to perform a live rendition of “Handshake Drugs,” from Wilco’s 2004 LP A Ghost Is Born, with Wilco backing her.
Fans sang along for an unforgettable karaoke/concert experience.
