A week away from the president-elect’s inauguration, it looks like the Trump team finally got a few acts to perform on Jan. 19 at the inaugural concert—besides Jackie Evancho.
‘90s radio rock band Three Doors Down and country singer Toby Keith are now set to perform at “The Make American Great Again! Welcome Celebration”— and yes, that is the actual name of the event that will take place at the Lincoln Memorial. According to the Three Doors Down Instagram, the event is set to include appearances from Jon Voight, The Piano Guys, DJ Ravidrums, Tim Rushlow, Larry Stewart and Marty Roe.

The "'Make America Great Again!' Welcome Celebration" will take place Thursday, January 19th and will be broadcast live to the nation from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. It will feature historic remarks from President-elect Trump and special appearances from Toby Keith, Jon Voight, Jennifer Holliday, DJ Ravidrums, The Piano Guys, Tim Rushlow ("Little Texas"), Larry Stewart ("Restless Heart"), Marty Roe ("Diamond Rio"), Lee Greenwood, and 3 Doors Down. Information for free public events can be found at 58PIC2017.org
Early reports said Jennifer Holliday (Dreamgirls, The Color Purple) was set to perform as well, but now it seems that may not be true. There are also rumors that Flo-Rida will be paid $1 million to perform, though at this point that rumor is highly unsubstantiated.
Tom Barrack, chairman of the Presidential Inaugural Committee, said in a statement, “President-elect Trump has made it clear that this inaugural is of, by and for the American people. The 58th Inaugural will celebrate American history and heritage, while setting the course to a brighter and bolder future for all Americans.”
So to recap, the lineup is overwhelmingly comprised of white, male country singers, with very few exceptions. But, really, is anyone surprised?
