After raging performances from Cage the Elephant, Run the Jewels, LCD Soundsystem and Sturgill Simpson, Forecastle ended its annual 3-day festival with a day populated by moments of unadultured zen. Fresh from Pitchfork Music Festival, PJ Harvey cast melancholic tales of loss and acceptance and Tycho continued to be a sonic algorithm of pattering rhythms and intertwined keyboard/guitar bliss. Charles Bradley laid down a foundation of dense, fluid soul and Weezer brought the entire weekend to a giddy, hook-filled crescendo. Photographer Cortney Armitage wraps her kinetic galleries with the above, but check back tomorrow for a portrait session from the weekend.
