After a chill, soul-heavy introduction and a batshit crazy Saturday, Governors Ball concluded with a strong contrast of mellow and manic. The Avalanches made a soaring return after a six-year gap to support their new album, Wildflower, mixing electronica, samples and beats with a full band. Festival stalwarts Cage the Elephant have laid a ground expectation for blues-rooted, classic rock revelry, and they didn’t disappoint. Lead singer Matt Schultz is one of the few frontmen who routinely denies gravity, maintaining Jesus-Lizard levels of energy as he sprints and bounds around the stage. Photographer DeShaun Craddock captured the antics in the gallery above, which also includes sets from Gryffin, Logic, Mondo Cozmo and Royal Blood.
