Once known as Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., JR JR are often irreverent and always melodically on point. They brought their catchy dance-folk to the Paste Studio for a second time in early June, playing songs from their new double album Invocations / Conversations. It's their first new music in four years—Invocations is a collection of songs rejected by their old label Warner Bros., while Conversations was their planned next album. As is evident in this session, their new songs are just as catchy and radio-ready without sacrificing any of their taste. These songs are bouncy, heartfelt and bursting with stunning three-part harmonies.
