Brooklyn folk singer/songwriter Nicole Rodriguez, who records under Pearla, released her debut EP Quilting & Other Activities on Sept. 6 on Egghunt Records. Rodriguez performed four new songs in the Paste Studio in August: "Forgive Yourself," "Quilting," "Washing Machine" and "Somewhere." The 23-year-old musician's vocals marry folky twang with silky pop and nurturing psych.
