Young talent’s afoot in the new track and video “Find Me” from English electronic duo Sigma. 20-year-old Birdy, who shot to fame at age 14 with her cover of Bon Iver’s “Skinny Love,” sings, while 12-year-old actress Millie Bobby Brown, better known as Eleven from Stranger Things, brings her words to life with emotional rawness.
Sigma teased a clip of the track before releasing it today, so fans knew that it featured Birdy. Millie Bobby Brown’s role, however, is a surprise. Her unaffected intensity makes her a compelling music video lead—though we already knew that her performance skills translated well to music after she crushed Nicki Minaj’s verse from “Monster” in September.
“Find Me” is a plea for an ex-lover to return:
This is us
I’ll never get enough
It’s taken losing you to know
If you’re ready
Heart is open
I’ll be waiting
Come and find me
It’s slightly ridiculous to watch a 12-year-old sing about romantic turmoil, but again, Brown works it. “Find Me” is pop gold, and it’ll be on Sigma’s forthcoming album next year, the follow-up to their 2015 studio debut Life. Watch the video above.
