New Orleans Jazzfest may have endured torrential downpours and power outtages today, delaying its kickoff till late in the afternoon. But yesterday offered a near pristine climate for rollicking, churning, grooving sets. Headlined by Maroon 5, Alabama Shakes, Usher & The Roots, the festival ramped up with sterling performances from the likes of Amos Lee, the Rebirth Brass Band, Jon Batiste, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and many, many others. Check out the gallery above for Amy Harris’ stellar photography from the event. Come back tomorrow for more photo coverage of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival 2017.
