Philadelphia’s got three things: pride, cheesesteaks and the coolest mayor in the country.

The city threw its annual Fourth of July Jam on Saturday, celebrating the holiday with fireworks, parades and a free concert from The Roots. The Philly natives were joined onstage by Miguel, Jennifer Nettles and Cee Lo Green, but the most important guest came from outside the music realm—none other than Mayor Michael Nutter.

Nutter joined the group for a lively rendition of the Sugarhill Gang’s “Rapper’s Delight,” proving to be an adept MC with an energetic stage presence. Not that it should come as a surprise: Billboard reports that before launching his political career, Nutter used to work at a Philadelphia disco club called Impluse in the ‘70s. No doubt he had to get comfortable behind the mic if he wanted to stand a chance as a DJ.

Please, please, please do not click out of this video before it’s over. Even if the song isn’t your cup of tea, it’s worth holding out until the three-minute mark to watch Mayor Michael Nutter drop the mic and walk offstage. Yes, you heard that correctly, and no, this is not a drill.

Screw Donald Trump. Nutter for president.
