Rihanna has announced her third Diamond Ball will be hosted by Dave Chappelle and feature a performance from Kendrick Lamar, Billboard reports.
“I’m thrilled that the incomparable Dave Chappelle will kick things off as the official host of this year’s Diamond Ball and Kendrick Lamar will take the stage for an unforgettable performance,” Rihanna said in a statement.
The gala serves as a fundraiser for the Clara Lionel Foundation, a charity founded by Rihanna in 2012 to support and fund “innovative and effective education and health programs around the world,” per the organization’s website.
Previous Diamond Balls have been hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and Kevin Hart, and included performances from Rihanna and Lionel Richie.
Earlier this year, Harvard University honored Rihanna with the Humanitarian of the Year Award to recognize the foundation, among her other humanitarian works, such as building a breast cancer treatment facility in her native Barbados.
This year’s Diamond Ball takes place Sept. 14 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
