Sean Bones: Tour Diary Part Two

This month marks the beginning of a tour cycle to promote my new record Buzzards Boy. My band was picked to support the fabulous Mynabirds of Omaha and so far sunshine and female energy have played a big part of the trip. As have camera phones!

1 of 10 Everyone should go see The Mynabirds this Summer. What they are bringing to clubs is fit for theatres--it's big and glamorous, and boy can they sing.

2 of 10 This is how I navigate. Peace is my guide. My friends Sam and Jeff made that shirt for a body but I think it looks good in this style as well.

3 of 10 This tour has been sporty. Yoga in the morning, followed by dress up in the van, and when we arrive, a skate around town. Breaking up the car/bar pattern is major and getting to explore is nice. Here we are in Fishtown.

4 of 10 Casual manual in Fishtown. After this, we played a fun-ass show at Johnny Brenda's in Philadelphia.

5 of 10 Ryan setting up his drum zone in Chapel Hill. We've played Local 506 many times together and I am proud to report that we did not sleep over in the club this time.

6 of 10 Day off in Asheville. We found a trampoline, caught air, took pictures, floated down the French Broad river and really got to hanging with The Mynabirds. Good day.

7 of 10 Wee hours in Birmingham, Ala., working on music still. This was after our show at The Bottletree, possibly my new favorite venue in America. It's a special place and it perpetuated the special time we're having out here.

9 of 10 Ok, now might be a good time to mention that it has been 100+ degrees most days on this tour. And that's us rocking fancy popsicles. Heating it up further is our old NY friend Andy Herod (of the Electric Owls) joining the Bones Brigade as we sweat our way
