While we here in the U.S. keep our fingers crossed that Queens of the Stone Age will be hitting American shores by the end of the year, last night they were announced as one of the headliners for Australia’s Splendour in the Grass festival.
The lineup has us tempted to drop everything this summer and head across the Pacific to enjoy the Australian coast while catching sets from the likes of LCD Soundsystem, Sigur Rós, ScHoolboy Q, Father John Misty, Julien Baker and recent Best of What’s Next artist Tash Sultana. Filling out the rest of the lineup is a diverse mix of artists that includes The xx, Haim, Royal Blood, Stormzy, Cut Copy, Future Islands, Maggie Rogers, Pond, The Lemon Twigs and Julia Jacklin.
All of those artists and more will descend upon the North Byron Parklands in New South Wales on July 21-23. Tickets and other info on the festival can be found here.
