Last month, The Lumineers revealed their favorite moments on tour for Paste, cycling through an assortment of memories including blood-stained SXSW setlists and bachelorette parties. Those seven years also witnessed a meteoric rise for the folk trio of Wesley Schultz, Neyla Pekarek and Jeremiah Caleb Fraites across two sterling albums. The group recently embarked on a cross-country arena tour, serenading cavernous sold-out venues in celebration of sophomore LP Cleopatra. Earlier this month, photographer Andrew Kelly captured the band behind the scenes and on the stage of the legendary Madison Square Garden, 12 miles away from where Schultz and Fraites grew up. Kelly juxtaposes wide-angle vistas of the sold-out arena against intimate glimpses of the members backstage.
The Lumineers are on tour through July.
