Ty Segall Announces Fall Solo Acoustic Tour

Prolific California rock ‘n’ roll extraordinaire Ty Segall has announced a U.S. solo acoustic tour set for the fall.

Ty Segall’s Goblin Phase One North American tour with his Freedom Band is just about to come to a close, so before the band embarks on a European tour, Segall has announced a set of intimate solo tour dates. According to his announcement, Segall will be bringing out songs for this solo tour that he doesn’t usually play. The tour will make stops in San Franscisco, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Asheville, New Orleans and other U.S. cities.

Segall’s latest record came earlier this year in the form of Freedom’s Goblin. In Paste’s full review, Ben Salmon wrote, “And now, a decade later, Ty Segall has made a massive album that not only celebrates that freedom he’s carved out for himself, it also effectively summarizes the journey so far. And it’s pretty darn listenable to boot. It may very well be his greatest accomplishment yet.”

Paste also recently ranked Segall’s extensive discography, which you can revisit here.
