Description
San Diego-based Delta Spirit is as unconventional an indie-rock band as they come. The group improvises instruments like trash cans lids and orchestral bass drums, multi-instrumentalism and spiritually themed lyrics to create a most engaging and festive hybrid of rock and northern soul. Jon Jameson (bass), Brandon Young (percussion) discovered vocalist Matthew Vasquez (vocals/guitars) busking one day in 2005, and together with Kelly Winrich formed Delta Spirit, one of the most active live performance bands around.
