Who would’ve thought Lufthansa would begin the trash talking ahead of this summer’s UEFA Euro 2016 in France?

The advert begins with two posh chaps, sporting England scarves, as they wait for their flight
information to this year’s tournament.

“Lufthansa?” says one. “We’re flying with the Germans?!” And their nightmare begins. Bring out the lederhosen, dirndls and oompah that’d make Thomas Müller feel at home. Behind the men, a young German boy taunts the English supporters by holding up four fingers— maybe it’s an homage to Germany’s four World Cups or to their 4-1 victory over England in the 2010 World Cup. For whatever reason, you’ll find yourself craving a sausage and beer at this point.

Perhaps, thankfully, the man awakens only to realize it was just a bad dream— except for the
World Cup loss in 2010— and he’s served a wonderfully German dish called Weizen with a side of “Siebenhundertsiebenundsiebzigtausendsiebenhundertsiebenundsiebzig”— a wonderfully German word that means predicting to a local bookie how long it will be, in years, before England beats Germany in soccer.
