No family is perfect … however, that is an understatement for this family. Drew Barrymore returns for season two of Netflix’s original dark comedy series Santa Clarita Diet. Sheila (Barrymore) and her husband Joel (Timothy Olyphant) are real estate agents suffering a broken marriage until Sheila begins a new diet … a diet that is limited to human flesh. Now in season two, things seem to get even more out of hand as Sheila and Joel balance big opportunities at work with Sheila’s maniacal need for flesh. Barrymore comes from one of the most esteemed acting dynasties in Hollywood. Her grandfather was actor John Barrymore, and she is the great niece to the legendary stage and screen actors Ethel Barrymore and Lionel Barrymore, both of whom won Oscars. Barrymore won a Golden Globe for her performance in the HBO film Grey Gardens in which she played Edith “Little Eddie” Bouvier Beale, the cousin of former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy. Olyphant, best known for the FX series Justified, serves as an executive producer on the Netflix series alongside Barrymore.
The new season arrives on Netflix on March 23. Watch the trailer below.
