In a move that will not surprise a single living soul in this dimension, Netflix has renewed Stranger Things for a third season. The official confirmation comes after the streamer shared a tease on Twitter.
But no need to worry, of course.
The ‘80s-inspired Netflix production was created by brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, who also act as executive producers and directors along with Shawn Levy. Season two was widely viewed, according to Nielsen statistics, making the show one of the most popular in the country. Netflix has also since launched a companion aftershow titled Beyond Stranger Things.
It is unknown what date Stranger Things will return, so check back with Paste when the information eventually emerges from the Upside Down. You can read our review of the Stranger Things 2 finale here, and revisit a visual collection of the season’s ‘80s influences here.
